On March 26, 2024, tragedy struck as a cargo ship leaving the Port of Baltimore collided with the Francis Scott Key Bridge, causing it to collapse within seconds and claiming the lives of six construction workers. In the wake of this devastating event, Project B Green and SAMU First Response, alongside other compassionate organizations, rallied together to support the families affected by the Baltimore Key Bridge collapse.

Project B Green has worked hand in hand with SAMU First Response, a passionate humanitarian aid organization based in Washington, D.C., committed to serving vulnerable populations during national and international crises.

As news of the Baltimore Key Bridge collapse spread, the urgent need for support became apparent. On April 26th, in collaboration with the Maryland Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (MD VOAD), the Church of Jesus Christ, and SAMU First Response, Project B Green sprang into action. Together, these organizations pooled their resources and expertise to assist the families in the longshoremen community affected by the collapse.

In a powerful display of solidarity and compassion, Project B Green and its partners provided $10,000 worth of baby food and formula to support the affected families. These essential supplies were delivered to the Community Assistance Network, ensuring that those facing hardship in the aftermath of the tragedy received the assistance they desperately needed.

This collaborative effort exemplifies Project B Green and SAMU First Response’s unwavering dedication to creating a positive influence in their community. By working alongside SAMU First Response and other like-minded organizations, Project B Green continues to serve and engage with their community in impactful ways, demonstrating that together, we can overcome even the most challenging of circumstances.
